Making the vision a reality
In fall of 2002, the Lord gave me a vision for opening a new church in Crestview, Florida. Armed with only a vision, prayer and faith in God, the Lord directed my steps to organize and incorporate the House Of Restoration.
First Lady Tara Chatman and the Late Mother Pat Powell were very instrumental as co-founders, during the organizing phase of the church. the Lord blessed First Lady and myself with family members who were both encouraging and supportive to us during the formation of the Church.
The Lord gave me the name of the church based upon the book of Isaiah 58:12, "And they that shall be of thee shall build old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell-in".
After months of incorporating, writing by-laws and standard operating procedures, we were finally in a position to inquire about a building to meet in. The Lord sovereignly led us to the building we are currently housed in today. The Lord showed me the layout of what would become the House of Restoration. God guided us through the transformation of an old cabinet shop, step by step, into the usable building we have today. God constantly placed people in our paths that had expertise in the the area that was needed at that particular time.
